mada deli was born when......
Steven and Nichole left their jobs in management in 2001 and put all their hard-earned savings into a coffee kiosk at Kingston upon Thames station.
Demand was great so another coffee shop was opened on Platform 2. They soon expanded to Waterloo where a concession was opened at the Salvador Dali Museum in County Hall. Taking inspiration from the origin of the coffee they were selling, Madagascar, they named the business MADA DELI.
Wanting to take their brand to the high street, 2004 saw the opening of their first Mada Deli in East Molesey, small cafe that not only offered great coffee but also amazing food. A place to sit and unwind, Mada was very well liked and supported by the local community.
Steven and Nichole saw the potential to offer more to the neighbourhood when the opportunity arose at an old bank in Bridge Road near Hampton Court, and in 2012 the Mada Deli we all know and love was born. Like every great coffee story, romance was inevitable. Over a well poured latte Steven met his wife, a local girl who worked on Bridge Road. They shared the love of great coffee, fantastic food and fine wine and with a wedding and two children later, she is now an invaluable member of the team driving the business forward both back and front of house.
